Sunday 3th of August 2003

Finally the day came where we should prove to ourself how good we actually where. We where to play in Alpha Squad Stealth Mission 3, “Deadly Silence”

We all meet up on my MSN, AIM and TS to talk about the last few changes before we went to AS TS server to play. Mark wasnt in at that moment so we upgraded Lapio to TeamLeader. 15 minutes before deadline Mark suddenly came online from a laptop, wow what a surprise. Lapio was still TL because Mark didnt have voicecom on his laptop.

We went to AS TS server and talked to Iceman where he welcomed us and talked about the mission, and the rules.

At his command “Well gentlemen, if you are all ready, launch the game” WOW.

We startet at the LZ with Lapio and Mark leading the way, the first thing I saw was 2 tangos at the boat to the right, and to the left 2 more. Then we startet to move slowly through the middle always with an eye to left and the other to the right. Without any notice I heard a shot, then a few more, then I saw “Team member down”, then 25 seconds later “Team member down”, and i thourght damn we will never make it. A minute or so later we lost our 3th member, and we only had 4 members left, and we where only 7 minutes or so into the game.

Me and Nic went over to the left side of the crane going for the powersupply at K9, when we heard Robs voice “Get back here with us NOW”, Rob has taken charge of the Team (Good call there Rob)

We then moved slowly to the right in direction of the first subpen, we spottet 6 tangos comming our way. Rob orderd us to point our guns at the tangos so we could kill em all at the same time. then on his command, “shoot when I say when, and that is NOW”, Bang Bang Bang, they where all dead before they could fire a single shot. Gr8 job Team.”

Up to the first subpen, Rob lay down the first democharge, then up to ramp, round the trains and there, 6 more tangos, or was it 7, hehe. Again same sequence as last time, NOW Rob said and they where all dead. Then democharges set at the 2 powersupplies. I rushed over to K9 to set my first democharge, and then 8 more came along, running towards us, again they died with perfection.

Nic then put a big %¤¤& hole in a tank, one shot one dead tank, gr8 shooting there.

Because of the timelimit we desided to go back to extract zone, when I asked Rob if I should go to E14 to put my democharge in the second subpen. I was on my own Rob stated but give it a go. Kewl me an my SA80 running towards the E14 when I saw 8 new tangos. I went prone and waitet for a minute or two, untill they where so close that I could smell em. Then I opend fire. I must say that the adrenalin was rushing through my body. But the SA80 is a perfect weapon, so I right away killed 6 of them, one was gone and one was prone. I could spot him under the train, so I killed him, but I still had one to go. Suddenly he was comming to the other side of the train, he took one shot at me, before I killed him.

Up again and running through the door, when Rob shoutet, Bo get out there the charges are going to explode.

Me out again and was heading directly to the extraction zone, when I suddenly remembered “Dang...what about the detonation check” I informed Rob that we had forgotten a little detail, but I was going for it.”

To my big suprise I saw no more enemies and I could check the detonation without any problems, after that it was straight to the EZ.

I think it was fun as hell, the exitment, the tention, the nerve and the adrenalin rush was so fantastic that I cant wait to Mission 4. Gr8 cudos to AS for making this alive. I think the teamwork was excellent allthough we didnt stick to our plan because of the 3 dead bodies after 7 minutes, hehe. But Rob did a hell of a job reorganizing the team.

Untill next time, Muhaaa Team NightHawks kickes ass.

Hehe, it dosent get any better than this 7 ppl on a mission, protecting eachother, moving slowly forward in organised groups, that was awesome. Think it was kewl that we had leaders, who could tell us where to go, so we covered the battlefield in the right way, instead of just moving forward with no actually goal.

It was a bit laggy at times, I saw TheBattsMan make a jump across the screen then back again a few times. And the enemies wouldnt die. I had a few bad guys on my sniperview, but they just wouldnt fall down, hehe.

I think it was a blast to playing with you all, and im looking forward to the next game.

Gr8 battle, I sadly had to leave after 3 maps, but I can see that Micael came to replace me, kewl.

The three maps we played was small maps with lots of enemies, they where very good, and took us by surprise a few times. Kerry was excellent with a lot of kills and stayed low so he didnt die as many times as the rest of us, hehe. Maby he should be our senior officer, so he could lead the battles for us. Telling us where to go and how. Would be kewl to have one to control it.

Screenshots from the battles will be in later, (forgot to bring em)
